A Time to Connect and Share

The West Virginia Council of Churches will conduct a Conference in Elkins, West Virginia, September 14th, 2007 from 9a.m-4:30p.m. The Conference will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 315 Kerens Ave, Elkins, WV. This is a unique conference designed for past and present military members their families, and friends (Community) to increase their awareness of the available resources within a community as well as putting together a variety of ideas and resources to advocate and ensure information and services reach our West Virginia military members and their families.
The topics of discussion will range from family and children issues, financial education and financial support, addictive behaviors such as alcohol and substance abuse, stress (PTSD) and its manifestations on the military family and community.
